If you are looking for a nice place that will not break the bank in Anacapri, I would recommend the Mediterraneo Guest House.
Staying in Anacapri is much cheaper than Capri, which is a short ride up the mountain side.
The last time we visited Capri, we took an expensive tour from the cruise ship. The excursion brought us to Anacapri for about an hour. Part of the tour included taking the chair lift to Mount Solaro. We had very little time to walk around the town. We knew that if we ever came back we wanted to stay in Anacapri. After researching our options, we chose to stay at the Mediterraneo Guest House.
To reach the hotel, it’s an easy five-minute walk from the main bus terminal down a pedestrian pathway.
Guianluca greeted us like family and was very helpful, allowing us to check in early, giving us advice on where to go and what to see. The room was spacious and well-kept, with a refrigerator, free Wi-Fi and continental breakfast.
The room overlooked the lovely courtyard. We enjoyed a glass of wine and relaxed on the patio each evening before going out. It was so peaceful and quiet. Walking around at night was very safe. The walkway back to the B&B was well lite.
There is a secure gate at the entrance of the guest house.
Our stay included breakfast each morning, which consisted of juice, cappuccino, cereal, yogurt, fruit, cheese, meat, bread, pastries and homemade jam. The food was served in a separate building overlooking the courtyard.
If you are looking for a friendly, family run place, which reminds you of staying at a friend’s house, this would be the place to stay. They go out of their way to make your holiday a memorable one. One day I would like to come back and stay here again.
